I wrote my paper on whether or not juvenile programs and treatments decrease recidivism. Let me start by saying there is a ton of information on this topic. So much info that you will have a hard time determining which information to use. The best advice i can offer you is that if you plan on writing your paper with a topic similar to mine, run to the library as soon as possible! Books are extremely beneficial because they go into detail about theories and classic studies. Articles are fine, but they provide minimal information that will frustrate you while you attempt to write a literature review. One book that i had that proved to be useful for me was: Theories of Delinquency: An examination of explanation of delinquent behavior. By: Donald J. Shoemaker. Best of luck and don't let the literature review intimidate you!
